Twitter works for the middle class, the middle-aged and for work-weary wannabe trendies because it lets them feel they’re part of a big happening club, when in fact all they are doing is exchanging mindlessness. If I want to know whether a show is worth going to at the Edinburgh Festival, or if Bonnie Prince Billy’s latest album is worth buying, I certainly don’t want a 140-character Twitter; I want an intelligent review written in real sentences, not some bastard lingo that’s the ugly love-child of texting and abbreviations.

Twitter is used for marketing these days. So many companies have their twitter account and use this tool to market their products and services. Twitter is addictive, so I’m just using it for a few tweets and RT. I have no intention to get mass followers and I’m not a start either. So, I’m happy to have both Twitter and facebook unspammed.

In the last couple of days all ever come across is twitter. It seems the world gone crazy. Everybody wants a page on twitter, many businesses are creating an account to attract customers and major newspapers are happy to feed their news. So far, I haven’t been there, but perhaps it is time to see what is going on there.

The 140 character format may suite so many because that is all they have too say. Sadly, it is generally about the minutiae of their lives or (worse yet) the failings of another’s life (celebrities).

Twitter is sad. First it’s the losers that tweet every time they eat food or go to the bathroom.

well twitter is a great tool for networking with 40 word limit you can make your thought or your link go around the people you are connected to…. which is awesome
