Good News for all those nervous about the impact of the credit crunch.Credit Crunch

Every cloud has a silver lining – this time a curious twist of fate will hopefully see a positive outcome from the current financial problems -see where has all the money gone?

It is expected that a slowdown of global economies will be mirrored by a lowering of carbon emissions and a slowing of global warming.

Not only will the tightening of family finances result in them being more careful with the purse strings when it comes to food and fuel bills but finally the inefficiencies of large SUV’s is being realised.  Indeed it isn’t just the fuel thirsty 4×4′s that are suffering but the sale of new cars has almost come to a standstill during the credit crunch.

Land Rover have ended their 60th anniversary year with the temporary suspension of Freelander production.  It is hoped that the new cleaner and greener Freelander will come onto the production line early next year.  Bad news for Land Rover staff but good news for the owners of My Freelanderhttp://www.myfreelander.co.uk/ a site designed to help owners trouble shoot and fix their vehicles.

Reports in the press reveal that many car manufacturers will have a prolonged shut down over the Christmas period – a decision to protect jobs for the short term – however there is no guarantee that the new car market will pick up any time soon and the threat of redundancy hangs over the jobs of many.

Credit Crunch Comeuppance for crap service

Losing a job is a terrible experience.  Being cast aside, removed from your normal work with no argument or reasoning just being told your out: “You’ve got nothing for us” and “We’ve got nothing for you”is an

Not all job losses deserve our pity

BT made headline news when it gave details of 10,000 job losses but each and everyone of us has had run ins with the bloody minded attitude of the engineers, sales and accounts staff.

Rather than focus on providing a cheap high quality phone system BT try to compete in every up and coming market. Failing to see that they have missed the boat they squander their marketing budgets on adverts for crap broadband and second rate TV packages.

Money Makes the World Go Round

RBS announced job losses primarily from their global banking offices that deal in the mysterious world of fx trading and straight though processing. Large corporations and even entire countries are looking to improve their corporate treasury systems and bring their finances into order.

No high street Jobs are at risk for RBS branches however some would argue a strong case group that staff at some Nat West branches should be reviewed.

Finally one more good thing to come out of the credit crunch – Selfridge’s have launched a bag of sweets called – credit crunch – Munchtastic!

Well it can’t last for ever, sooner or later the economy will get back on track. Global warming is a long term problem that will only be solved by changing where we get our energy from.

I have to say that I really hope things start to change it is just getting so hard to pay bills on the wages that are paid out with the increase of taxes on everything that we buy anymore. I understand stores have to get there money but as hard as we work for our money its just gone as fast. Unemployment rates are climbing so high in Ohio here in the USA that the unemployment system actually crash from all the phone calls of people trying to put in their for the unemployment. I just truly hope 2009 brings so much better for all the hard working people or there and their families!

Completely agree with gamer gal. It’s getting harder by the day. Even huge companies are feeling the heat. They are cutting down jobs and reporting loses. So its no surprise its affecting the normal population very much. Hope this crisis sorts out soon. Thank you

With today’s grim times we all need something to smile about.

I just wish this crisis will lift soon , so many are being lost and so many lives are being put on hold or worse being destroyed of job loss and debt.

Hopefully everything get right sooner. Slowly it is trying to get on the track but the pace is very slow that the big companies have also started feeling the heat. Therefore the graph of unemployment is rising. Global warming is not that related to credit crunch it is a different issue and can be controlled by planning out certain things.

Nice post. Really admirer the positives you are trying to bring out. The economy crisis is temporary and we will have to be patient until it gets back on track.

Nice post. I totally agree with your points. The current economy crisis has a positive effect on the environment. But there are some industries which doesn’t have an big impact on the environment. (such as software industry.) Still there are problems but I feel the economy crisis will end soon. Thanks for sharing the information.

That’s a good one. Well yeah, I do think that people need to get over this whole recession thing and start living life in the present. Rather than crying over past stuff. What has happened is history. Nothing can change it and we are just crying over things we cant do anything about now.
