Dubai Burj Tower – Getting High in Dubai

Burj Dubai Tower – What a Whopper

The tallest building in the world had its opening ceremony this week – giving the chance for Dubai to do what it does best – show off!

Yes, this is a pretty building. Yes, this is a technological marvel. However, please bear in mind two things: that Burj Dubai was built with defacto slave labour, and is a phallic monument to Jizlamic potency – about twice the hight of the Twin Towers, in fact. Really, that’s a sad and somewhat sick irony. Unlike the World Trade Centre, suicide terrorists are unlikely to hijack flights to Dubai and slam into it.

This “superscraper” is no great engineering feat. Another building could be made even taller if anyone is dumb enough to throw enough money into the project. Imagine how many needy individual could’ve been helped with this money and labor. The resources spent on this empty building could’ve been used to further scientific discovery. What a waste.

It’s unquestionably beautiful – spectacular, even. Unfortunately, it feels like an unforgivable misuse of resources in a world where so many exist with so little.

This we have the taller building competition is getting out of hand. Really idiotic as most of these superscrapers have a hard time turning a profit and filling the space in good times or bad.

It’s true. People are already making plans for even taller skyscraper. You do have to question at what point or “height” will we stop before we realize that it’s not necessary. I suggest these funds go to Haiti before another superscaper.

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. They’re gonna need extra money for scientific discovery now, to develop a super-fast lift to carry people to the top. I wouldn’t spend half an hour to get to the top for a view of lots of sand, some water and a few buildings. And where’s the view of the world’s tallest building? Oh, I’m on it.

I agree with you about the existence of better ways to employ that money, but the thing here is obviously about islamic marketing.
