Every now and then we feel obliged to veer from the frivolities of life and focus on a real life issue – see the previous post calling for action regarding the food shortage and famine in drought areas of Kenya. Visitors looking for unusual wedding gift ideas seemed pleased to find the post that suggested setting up charity wedding gift list allowing guests to give charity gifts to someone in need on behalf of the happy couple.

So successful was the concept of giving a goat as a charity gift that for a while the following message to disappointed visitors in search of the versatile gift.
Due to huge demand for this gift, it’s not
currently available – sorry!
The charity gift doesn’t have to be the actual goat
in fact many organisations hope that the money is gifted for them to decide where it can be best used – to send aid and releif to those in most need see the previous post calling for action regarding the food shortage and famine in drought areas of Kenya
Obviously people just couldn’t resist saying “I bought you a goat”, whereas “I bought you a bucket” just sounds a bit naff… A simple disclaimer along the lines of “actual goat may differ to that pictured (or may actually be a bucket)” might do the trick though!
P.S. just got the joke in the post title. Sorry – I’m a bit slow today…
That’s pretty unique thing for gift. Its cheap and the best ready to use product. I will also thing of having goat as my probable gift idea.

I never claimed that what you said was untrue but I’m afraid I still have a few too many ethics for this business and may never lose them (I hope I don’t).
I was never offended by the post you made on your other blog it actually gave me something fun to write about. LOL

Ijust read about the goat being an unusual wedding gift and now what is this? It’s sold out? Really funny! But I’m glad people cooperate to charity projects like this.
