I hate gift vouchers, it’s so boring and impersonal. A lot of them get wasted anyway as we tend to lose or forget about them.

Gift cards is the best way to boost up our sales. I think we should not stop only for Christmas. Releasing gift card during Valentine day, Labours day, etc is the best way. I always check for discount coupon from hosting and domain company during any festive season.

Yes, an interesting write-up. To me, it always seems nice whenever I receive a thank you letter. On the other side, it is a social courtesy to respond to a person, who cares for your feelings. But saying thank you is also an art.

Thanks for the great post concerning gift cards and the subsequent thank you cards that follow the christmas season. I agree gift cards are a great way to go when buying gifts for someone that you don’t talk to that much. However in this economic climate of businesses going under, it is a risky gift if the company goes out of business. On the other hand, you wrote a great sample thank you letter that can be used and customized on many levels.

I hear that Gift Cards are NOT the way to go this year. With so many companies going out if business, maybe go spend that card for Valentines before the store closes shop! hey, a nice Valentines gift that is free to you, what could be better?

I’m somewhat torn on this issue. On one hand, a gift voucher is the most logical thing to buy, if you’re not sure what the other person wants/needs. He can choose for himself!
On the other hand, in my family we never gave cash as gifts (and a gift voucher = cash in my book). We always had to investigate a bit to get to know who wants what, buy it, wrap it up and hide it well till Christmas Sure there were stupid gifts sometimes, but at least it was memorable.

You have some very good points with you blog and how to write a thank you letter for the gifts you reciece. I think a lot of people these days don’t even sit to take the time to write a thank you letter to anyone anymore. I think its gimme gimme gifts and oh if I remember ill say thank you in the end.
