This website really shows the full intellegence Mr.Pasty man. Firstly your dumbass name, secondly your opinion, you did really say why you hate the actual artwork itself, instead you metioned only how crap the experience was. Let me remind you that I'm sure Banksy has got much further in life than you ever will and has earned certainly more money than you will in your lifetime. So stick a pasty up your ass and shutup. Banksy's work is inspired and intelligent and expresses all the right opinions!

I think people need to get past thinking of graffiti artists and relating them to a twat who goes round with a can righting shit in random places for no reason. There not grafiti artists there idiots. They ruin the entire concept of graffiti art. Banksy is not an idiot even though he may use un-pc words he also uses them in an appropriate way to portray his views. Banksy is a genius.

Being a huge fan of Banksy i visited his exhibition. I waited 3 and a half hour to see possibly the most amazing form of art i have ever seen before. As an artist myself I look to Banksy for ideas. I think that his work is amazing and the fact that we don’t know who he is gives his work more affect. Hats off to Banksy, the criticism that he receives from people is astonishing and he keeps going with his work. His work has inspired me and my work that I have been creating for my A level art.

So thank you Banksy for the inspiration keep going with the amazing work you create.

I actually thought that it might have been a little crappy from the reports of Mr. Muncher, but after watching the video provided, I've found the art to be surprisingly entertaining. Unlike most 10 minute youtube videos, I didn't have to try to keep myself entertained.

So, +1 to content!

Sorry Pasty
I hadnt appreciated that you had entered the exhibition although I have read similar blogs from folk that have slated the exhibition who did not enter and feel very smug that they haven't succumbed to the hype.
I do agree that the queueing process was a farce. There was opportunity for the museum to have been far more interactive with the crowd rather than posting a handful of disinterested students at strategic points who could only managed a nod and a beckoning hand as communication. I thought it was a wasted opportunity to canvas the crowd for research of where they had travelled from and what their plans were whilst in the Bristol locality. That aside it didn't dimisnish my experience of the exhibition. Despite being busy I never felt rushed and was more than happy to meander through the exhibition at my leisure.
The reason for two visit was to share the experience with different friends - not due to unfulfillment.

@ Brizzle Lizzle - thank you for the courtesy of referring to me as Mr - please Pasty is fine may I call you Sizzle, Bizzle?

Are you suggesting that I made this post up?

I stood in line, I shuffled up and down the uninspiring side street, thought twice about contributing to the ice cream vendor that must have pushed a hell of a backhander to secure that pitch and I eventually gained entry to the Museum with sore knees and an aching back - should we really suffer for this so called art?

Because of the dreadful organisation of the whole event I failed to see half of the Banksy exhibits hilariously hidden amongst the drab permenant collection - the jobsworth Museum staff began closing at 4:30.

The thrust of my post here is that it was a crap exhibition - should Bristol (or anywhere else) every get the opportunity to show Banksy art I plead that they don't try to be too clever and bugger the whole event up.

Out of curiousity Sizzle - did you try a second attempt because you too were unfulfilled the first time?

Sorry Mr Muncher but I do get tired of those blasting the exhibition that didn't actually take the time to visit it themselves to get a truly personal view. I went twice and it was worth it both times (even the three hour queue the second time). It may not be to everyone's taste but I did find it amusing and sometimes darkly thought provoking.
I am more than happy to accept that some people would not appreciate it as an exhibition (God forbid we are all sheep) but I prefer for those people to have seen it first hand before passing judgement.
