I’m a dubai resident.

The camel sign is definitely real, you see them if you drive out into the desert. There are camels that aren’t necessarily wild (like sheep in UK) but they do sometimes come onto the road.

As Abu Dhabi resident said, Abu Dhabi is by no means the poor relation to Dubai. Dubai was the attention seeking little brother that borrowed far too much money on its credit card, Abu Dhabi is the richer brother bailing Dubai out these days.

Last time I checked, Abu Dhabi was actualy a serious bit wealthier than Dubai. Dubai ran out of cash and has been being bank rolled by the oil and gas producing Abu Dhabi for some years now while the no petroleum producing Dubai, relying on its property market was floundering and has now finally gone under. Why do you think they had to rename the Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa? because Dubai ran out of cash to finish it and Abu Dhabi stumped up the rest to get it done. Abu Dhabi is actually the capital of the UAE NOT Dubai

I’m sure that camel road sign isn’t real, I remember seeing that image somewhere else but minus the camel. Hmm, I probably am wrong though. Very funny blog article though, made me chuckle.

A very well written article i loved how you associated the Grand Prix with Abu Dhabi by the glamour and wealth quotient.
And that picture of the sign is just hilarious, i cant believe there is actually a sign like that.
